I’m thinking back to a conversation with a friend about the opening of Magnify Brewing. We thought that we should drive to the brewery with a bottle from Trillium and plop it on the bar and say, “Make this and you’ll be successful.” Well, for a young brewery, they’ve done very well for themselves and have turned out some really nice beer.

When I joked that Magnify Brewing would be successful if they replicated a Trillium beer, it was just a joke. However, I think they’ve made a really nice attempt here with Dr. ‘Saic and frankly, this might very well be the best beer that I’ve had from a New Jersey Brewery. It could very well be the hops as I’m a big fan of mosaic (the cat pee hop as I call it). Cloudy, pithy, somewhat juicy. 93 points.

Another pot reference and I’ll note again that hops are related to cannibis. Funny, first can I had, I missed it entirely, the next can was enlightening. Nice dank experience. I guess, I’ll go with my second experience, not bad at 88 points.
How about another from Magnify?
Thirty Hours by Magnify
Tasting: September 15, 2016
Style: IPA w/peaches
Beer #: 1,003
Bought this on release at the brewery. Thought that the peach flavor was marginal when fresh and completely gone a week or two later. Base IPA is middling so the score is middling at 85.
