E Pluribus Unum is Latin for “out of many, one.” There are a number of interpretations, but many believe it connects the 13 colonies becoming one nation. Others point to the melting pot concept of one nation created from the people of many nations.
Most notably, you’ve seen this expression as part of the United States Great Seal and American coins. Did you know that this motto was “lifted” from a popular periodical from 1776 called, The Gentleman’s Magazine ? Who knows maybe it was the Playboy of the era. “Yea, I read it for the articles, not for the drawings of the girls in the corsets.”
From what I read, the magazine was an aggregator of stories “lifted from other sources” and in every issue, they used the E Pluribus Unum slogan. In their case it meant we make one periodical from the work of many. I guess we didn’t have copyright laws in 1776. Either that or it was our nation’s first backroom deal. We borrow your motto and then we don’t say anything about you lifting someone else’s content.

Citrea
Citrea is Latin for citrus and it is the fourth version in the E Pluribus Unum series from Gun Hill. Or should I say release IV since we are on the Latin theme? Massively boozy. Some underlying lime, green pineapple, and firm caramel sweet base. Strong and clunky bitterness. An okay effort, 87 points.

Silvis
Silvis meaning forest or woods. I assume a pine reference here since pine is typically referenced as a hop flavor descriptor. Has a pine like quality but I’ll call it minimal. Syrupy, non-descript bitterness possibly grapefruit, a tad astringent boozy. Once again, an okay effort, 87 points.
Here’s a better choice from Gun Hill Brewing: Gun Hill Brewing Roll Call EC3 – 94 points
