Extremely Angry Beast
From the label: How do you create an Extremely Angry Beast? Mix one part bourbon barrel aged Blaecorn Unidragon, one part bourbon barrel aged Undead Party Crasher, one part rum barrel aged Hammer of The Holy, then add a massive dose of incendiary rage.
The stouts used in this blend are some pretty stalwart offerings from the Clown Shoes arsenal. I’m impressed that they’ve amped up each of the components by adding in some barrel-aging. At just $12.99 for a bomber-sized bottle and plenty of availability, I’m having this tonight and wondering if I pick up a few additional bottles.
I’ll sum up Extremely Angry Beast as massively complex but lacking in details. Battling barrel influences compliment each other beautifully vanilla, brown sugar, coffee, oak, baker’s chocolate. Alcohol by volume check – 12%. A tad bit of boozy heat but it certainly doesn’t impede the taste experience. A bit thin but has a slick mouthfeel. This is a very nice stout and I’ll be picking up a couple more bottles of Extremely Angry Beast to age tomorrow. I’ll put the Extremely Angry Beast at 93 points.
