Style: Imperial IPA
Back in early January I went to Wine & Beverage Depot to investigate the availability of Founders Nemesis. I was bummed when I found that they received and sold their one case allotment. However, they did tell me that they were getting in Founders Double Trouble in a couple of weeks. When it came in, I bought plenty. But now I’m down to my last two bottles — so time to scribe my opinion. Label says 86 IBU/9.4 ABV. Pours a lightish amber with a thin creamy head. Little to no carbonation. Very citrusy/hoppy nose. Little malt with big floral/sweet hop finish. Sticky and nice mouthfeel. Founders is just an awesome brewery. One gem right after the other. This isn’t in the same league as Devil Dancer or KBS but still worthy of 90 points from me.
