Gravitational Waves IPA
So, what’s the best beer in your state? The website, First We Feast gathered a panel to discuss each state’s best offering. They published an article in September of 2016 Link Here . Their thoughts on New Jersey’s best offering? I might have guessed Kane, A Night to End All Dawns but that came in as an honorable mention to another Kane offering – Galaxy Head High.
Also mentioned is Gravitational Waves IPA by Conclave Brewing and they take note of the brewery’s up and coming status. Since it has garnered such attention and praise, I was happy to have the opportunity to buy some over the holiday weekend. Because their hours are limited to weekends, the planets aligned for a quick stop for a 32 ounce growler. It’s a really small brewery with a brewery floor probably as big as my kitchen. More home brewer feel than commercial brewery. I liked that.
Really well-balanced and entirely drinkable. Melon and pineapple equally complimenting some mellow citrus rind. To a lesser extent, grapefruit and grape. Move over we have a new contender. In conclusion, Gravitational Waves IPA comes in at 94 points.
As far as my experience with New Jersey brewed beer, I’d put Carton All Orange Everything (95 points), Kane’s Overhead IPA (93 points), Carton Epitome (93 points) and Magnify Dr.Saic (93 points) at the head of the New Jersey class. Since we’re on the subject, I thought it would be interesting to see my favorites by originating state. Here’s my list:
