The name alone conjures up hop flavors so strong that you can brush your teeth and still taste the bitterness of the hops.
Massive citrus here — grapefruit, lemon over some sweet pineapple. That nice sweetness at first that gets absolutely wrecked and overrun by the hops and that bitterness just lingers and lingers. Mouthfeel is outstanding with some nice stickiness and full bodied texture. Quick label check — 9.5% ABV. Really nice in that you get flashes of that sweetness up front with every sip.
First brewed as a tribute to the second anniversary of the Hamilton Tavern, this one is purported to be 149 IBU. Remember measurements of more than 100 are a bit dodgy. Okay my palate is saying “uncle”, but I wouldn’t mind another one of these…93 points
