Space Station Middle Finger

Am I mailing it in?

I have to admit that logging my beer exploits for the past four years has become a bit tedious of late. Last night, I opened the door to my beer fridge and wanted to pop open this bottle of Space Station Middle Finger but passed on it because I hadn’t taken a photo or hadn’t thought about anything to write about it. Instead, I opted for that last bottle of Sublimely Self-Righteous. As you might also be able to tell from my photos, there are many times I’ll just snap the photo on the way upstairs. Other times, you can probably tell that my entry is just a stream of consciousness on the experience.

Even more difficult is trying to describe my three-hundredth IPA – how many times can you say that an IPA tastes of citrus rind? Frankly, I don’t need to do that unless there is exceptional flavor. I guess I have to prove it later that I actually drank the beer in the picture. For my purposes, the numerical score and the vitals are the most important pieces. You’ll probably see more and more of that as I don’t want to put this blog ahead of drinking what I want to drink – when I want to drink it.

Interesting things about Space Station Middle Finger:

Acquired in a trade that centered on me swapping 2 Westvleteren 12s for a 2014 Dark Lord.
Cool label art – kind of 1960’s psychedelic
Couldn’t find anything online about the celestial bird.
ABV: 6%
Balanced
Nice candy sweet undertone

90 points

I like that.
